My Bio
As far as art goes most of what I do is weapons related. My biggest obsession is my game concept that I have been working on on and off for the last 8 or so years. Recently I have learned some 3D modeling and rendering with Rhino 4 and V-ray which further fueled this obsession but I am also trying to learn Photoshop CS5, 3Ds Max/Maya/Mudbox 2012, Z-brush, Taragen 2, Vue, and a bunch of other programs for 3D fractals, damn...

I am a student at ITT-Tech and going for my Bachelors in information cyber security but recently I am debating whether I should continue with that or switch to a graphic design program because I found I absolutely love this shit!

I have been working on drawing some machine pistols over the last few weeks. I have finished most of them but I still need to add some detail and special attachments for some of them.

I just uploaded all of my light, medium, heavy and most of the unconventional pistol concepts. There is 3~4 more but now I am going to shift into doing up the revolvers unless some of you want something else first, let me know.

Over the last few weeks I have been drawing up my pistol concepts, most of which are based on real guns or a mix of guns with my own personal twist of design added to them. I should be releaseing them in the next few days so be on the look out for them

Thanx again for favin´=D
Hey Wes, a new fan here, and trying to create my own 3D images of weapons/munitions like yours.
Do you have any tips, advice, etc for a beginner like me? Cause your stuff is just incredible. I plan on eventually posting some of my own designs on deviant but right now, as they are, they are very plain and just ugly. Will post the one thing I have done on deviant if you are willing to look at my gaudy work and give me some advice.
Again though, your stuff is incredible. Hope to see more in the future.
Yeah I'd be willing to help you out if I can. Believe it or not but I am also a beginner at this stuff and still working up to making weapons and such.

The first thing I did was choose a program to work with and then spent the next week or so just watching tutorials on youtube and professional VTM's (Lynda.com sort of things). Any instruction manuals and other texts helped out too.

I use Rhinoceros 4 which is a NURBs modeler, not generally something you would use in something like a video game but it is fairly easy to learn and use.
For rendering I used V-ray for Rhino and I just read the instruction manual and played around with it for a while until I got the basics down.

If you want a free and fairly powerful 3D modeler I would suggest Blender, that's probably the next thing I will learn to use myself.
Thank you for the fave
