The Corrosive Luxx Crystal Shot/Slug (SGL-COR, SGSL-COR) rounds detonate a split second after impact releasing a unique type of radiation. The Luxx crystal is an alien design that channels the Luxx field and manipulates it to a desired effect dependent on the crystal structure. In this case it releases a small burst of energy that acts like a corrosive acid that quickly breaks down the molecular structure of matter.

The shell casing is made out of Nano-polymer 239 that is colored light grey with added green (gold and dark grey, overcharged) stripes, this plastic is much lighter than brass and other metals that were previously used for casings and it is incredibly strong easily taking on high pressure loads.
