The Cryogenic Luxx Crystal (L-CRY) round is a round that detonates a split second after impact freezing everything in its wake. The Luxx crystal is an alien design that channels the Luxx field and manipulates it to a desired effect dependent on the crystal structure. In this case it releases a small field of energy that rapidly slows the molecular vibration of matter in the effected area essentially flash freezing it. This can lead to massive damage to organic life due to the destruction of cells by cell crystallization. It also will make many objects brittle and they can easily be shattered.

The Overcharged L-CRY round has the ability to manipulate the Luxx even further causing a larger, more intense effect that can last even longer being able to completely freeze a human being solid with one round and then shatter to pieces moments later from extreme thermal contraction.

The shell casing is made out of Nano-polymer 239 that is colored light grey with added Blue (gold and dark grey, overcharged) stripes, this plastic is much lighter than brass and other metals that were previously used for casings and it is incredibly strong easily taking on high pressure loads.

The Luxx Field is a field of energy that flows through all mater (kind of like the force or something). Some organic life is able to manipulate it in interesting ways at will while most, including humans, have to resort to technology to do so.
