The Electroshock Rifled Grenade (RG-ELC) round is used in under barrel and dedicated grenade launchers. It has a large battery and capacitor that is charged with a tremendous amount of electricity. Upon detonation the grenade shell acts like a tesla coil sending high voltage arcs of electricity into whatever is in the area of effect until the power is drained, usually after about 5 seconds.

The shell casing is made out of Nano-polymer 239 that is colored light grey with added yellow stripe, this plastic is much lighter than brass and other metals that were previously used for casings and it is incredibly strong easily taking on high pressure loads.
