The Hollow Point (HP) round is used to inflict extra damage to soft targets by means of expansion. The tip consists of a hollowed out portion that allows it to mushroom out upon impact leading to a wound channel much larger than what the caliber would normally achieve. This expansion also allows the round to expend all or most of its energy into the target.

Inserted into the bottom of the hollow is a small steel pin that more efficiently directs the soft tissue to the side and the copper jacket has six slits in it to allow easy expansion. These added features aid in a large, controlled and consistent expansion of the round.

The design carictoistics of this round make it good for self defence as it has lower penitration and increased damage compaired to FMJ rounds but it is a very poor choice if you are going up against armored targets of any kind!

The shell casing is made out of Nano-polymer 239 that is colored medium grey with added white stripes, this plastic is much lighter than brass and other metals that were previously used for casings and it is incredibly strong easily taking on high pressure loads.
